Entertaiment is the latest trend in the social scene. People are turning to the internet for bargains, and social media to find their entertainment. In the end, however, it is up to the consumer to decide how much entertainment they want.

Entertaining involves an agreeable occupation of the mind, a diversion or amusement, such as solving a crossword puzzle. It also includes performances that afford pleasure and may be dramatic, humorous or satirical in nature.

According to Bates and Ferri (2010), entertainment is understood objectively, involves communication between text and audience from an external stimulus, offers pleasure, requires an audience, and occurs in a passive form. These elements are used in various forms of entertainment, such as a theater show or a film. In addition, entertainment can be adapted to any scale, from a personal choice of music for a picnic, or an entire party, to a performance for thousands.
